ABOUT ME
I haven´t always painted, but I have always enjoyed land. Growing up in California, especially in the Central Valley it has been easy to be exposed to a variety of geography. We have the mountains, the coast, and a myriad of agriculturally developed lows and highs in between. I deeply feel that landscapes are incredibly tangible: being active, ever changing, and textured. My work goes between levels of deconstruction and thick textures to emphasize and abstract the the land that is ever changing. I find that my paintings feature a palette that plays with actual and exaggerated colors, understanding that what God has created and displayed perfectly, I cannot replicate exactly. This leaves room for an enjoyment of the faults and variations in painting.
