IN PLEIN AIR
There is a great connection to land and light when painting in plein air. It is when I most feel and recognize landscape as physically and emotionally tangible. Painting outside is an adventure where light, shadow, shape and value all change as time passes. Plein air also presents the opportunity of joining in with some of the greats: Paul Cezanne, Vincent Van Gogh, and Camille Pissarro. It is an opportunity to share the geography I love and see with friend, family, and stranger.
